Haiti's Hunger Crisis

A Nation on the Brink

Haiti is grappling with a severe food security crisis that threatens the well-being of millions.

  •  Approximately 4.97 million people require food assistance –  that’s nearly half of Haiti’s population.
  • A staggering 5.4 million Haitians face acute hunger – of which 2 million are experiencing emergency levels of food insecurity.
  • The situation for children is particularly dire – nearly 3 million depend on humanitarian support.

The crisis is exacerbated by several factors:

  1. Rampant inflation erodes purchasing power
  2. Escalating armed violence disrupts daily life and food supply chains
  3. Climate-related shocks and natural disasters

Rural communities living on less than $1 a day are among the most vulnerable. These are the populations that Parole et Action (P&A) is working to support. The urgency of their needs cannot be overstated, as families struggle to meet even basic nutritional requirements.

The crisis demands immediate action to prevent further deterioration and protect Haiti’s most vulnerable citizens.

Together, we can alleviate hunger in Haiti

In over 30 years of work, Parole et action has provided nouishing meals for XX# of students in XX # of schools.
